(Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa on 11 December 2020)

(Registration number 2020/919711/07)

Â鶹ɫÇéƬ is delighted to confirm that our recent expansion into renal services, under the banner of Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Renal Services (Pty) Ltd, as part of our vision to expand our offering across the continuum of care, is continuing to grow and expand across the country.

Â鶹ɫÇéƬ began the process of expanding our service offering, adding to the current acute care services, with the introduction of day clinics. This was further broadened by the inclusion of mental health facilities, primary care services and most recently oncology and renal services.

Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Bloemfontein Renal Services was the first centre to open in the first quarter of 2021, and is located in close proximity to Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Bloemfontein. The centre offers all acute treatment modalities and peritoneal dialysis to patients in the hospital, as well as chronic services to those within the community.

Additional renal units located in close proximity to a Â鶹ɫÇéƬ facility, offering both acute and chronic treatment modalities have since opened in Potchefstroom, Pietermaritzburg and Tongaat, with our newest acute and chronic renal facility opening its doors in Milnerton in July 2022.

In addition to the above facilities, our locations also include a stand-alone chronic facility in the heart of Soweto, ensuring expanded access to these services.

In keeping with our commitment to offer our patients support in a way that addresses their need for quality and safe care, Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Renal Services will soon expand their service offering to include acute renal services in Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Highveld, Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Vergelegen, Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Morningside, Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Limpopo and Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Stellenbosch, which will be opening in the second half of 2022.

While all our Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Renal Services facilities practice under 1 PCNS practice code, all our facilities are listed with Unique Identifier codes, which are available on Med Pages.

What sets Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Renal Services Apart?

A Unique Offering of Renal Services with a Difference
The partnership between Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Renal Services and Â鶹ɫÇéƬ promotes a trustworthy, transparent, patient centred offering.

The clinical standards and background within the Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Renal Services group provides us with access to all the latest medical technology currently available, and the newest products and equipment is identified and sourced that may be beneficial in the dialysis setting.

We offer the best in technology and patient care – from our state of the art haemodiafiltration machines, to our point of care pathology pilot programme.

Emphasis on comfort
Our dialysis centres are designed in such a way as to enhance patient experience and comfort while ensuring social distancing.

Each dialysis station is equipped with an individual entertainment tablet with access to Wifi, Netflix and full internet content to view during sessions.

Meals with a hot beverage are also served during sessions.

Clinically led care
Each facility is clinically overseen by a Medical Director – a nephrologist responsible for attending to any acute or chronic renal failure complications, as well as managing the acute non-renal related problems that the dialysis patients may develop.

Each unit operates with a direct hands-on team approach, with experienced and qualified staff providing care to patients.

The most appropriate care at the right time
Each unit offers access to daily body composition analysis (BCA), which allows the team to actively evaluate the hydration status of a patient in under 30 seconds.

This allows them to also understand the patient’s nutritional status and albumin levels quickly and easily.

This will ultimately achieve the best possible patient care with fewer hospitalisations due to fluid related complications, while saving the patient and funders unnecessary costs.

Value based point of care
With our Point of Care pathology pilot programme, the team is able to perform additional pathology testing throughout the year without having an impact on their medical savings account. Tests can be performed monthly to understand levels of Potassium, Sodium, Chloride, Magnesium, Calcium, Phosphorus, Urea, Creatinine and Albumin.

Community based access
Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Renal Services are focused on opening up centres across South Africa that allow for easier access to quality renal services. Units may be linked to an acute facility, or standalone offerings located in the community.

With the shared services partnership between Â鶹ɫÇéƬ Renal Services and Â鶹ɫÇéƬ, we will strive to ensure that our patient experience far exceeds our patient’s expectations.
